CMA Canada Accredited Programs

CMA Canada is the first professional accounting organization in North America to accredit programs at leading universities.  Many top-tier university programs across the country have been accredited by CMA Canada. List of CMA Canada accredited programs.

CMA Canada’s accreditation process has been designed to recognize those universities that achieve high standards of instruction in management accounting, including verification of CMA Competency Map coverage. Graduates of accredited programs are granted an exemption of the CMA Entrance Examination provided they meet the criteria set out in the policy.

Thinking about pursuing the CMA Designation?

Students following the CMA Stream are encouraged to advise CMA New Brunswick by registering in the CMA Stream. Students are welcome to contact CMA's Marketing Manager with any questions or concerns they may have about successfully completing the CMA Stream to ensure they are eligible for a waiver of the CMA Entrance Exam upon graduation. A “mid-stream” transcript evaluation conducted by CMA New Brunswick staff is encouraged after completion of the student’s third academic year to ensure the student is on track.

How to apply for a waiver

Applications for a waiver of the CMA National Entrance Exam based on completion of the CMA Stream at an accredited university must be received by CMA New Brunswick each year by the Entrance Exam application deadline immediately preceding entry to the Strategic Leadership Program, usually in late April.  An official transcript received directly from the registrar indicating the degree has been conferred must be received before the waiver can be confirmed.
