Strategic Management Accounting Forums The first year of our Strategic Management Accounting Forums has wrapped up with rave reviews. Over 50% of delegates rated our last Forum dealing with Evaluating Performance in Information Technology as excellent and not a single respondent was disappointed. Tom Sullivan's unique blend of wit and practical applications provided for an entertaining day topped off by our panel of experts who each brought a different perspective on the topic. The record-breaking attendance of over 100 CMAs and guests made for a wonderful opportunity for networking and for CMAs to reconnect with old friends in the CMA family. A fulll buffet breakfast and lunch were included in the registration fee, and the choice of a delegate computer bag or leather portfolio brought our professional development offerings to a whole new level. These premier offerings are now marketed outside the CMA membership, thus raising the profile of the CMA designation within the local business community. Comments received from delegates over the last three forums include: "Everything was excellent! I look forward to the next forums." "Very relevant" "The value came from the interactions of the audience. Having facilitated discussions on key management topics is great." "It was well-structured, informative, and interesting." "I am very satisfied about today. I was expecting a "BSC 101" forum and it turned out to be a lot more insightful." "The format worked well, broke the day up very effectively." "Very worthwhile. I look forward to attending the next one." "Meals, conference facilities were excellent. Handout (briefcase, bag, etc.) was a great added bonus." Feedback received from all three Forums will be considered in the development of three new forums in 2008. Members wishing to suggest topics for future forums are asked to forward their suggestions to Sarah at cmanb.admin@nb.aibn.com.
