
Prerequisites through University Courses University students in a business or commerce program can usually take all CMA prerequisites courses as part of their degree. In Atlantic Canada, the full suite of 16 CMA prerequisite courses is available at the following universities: • Memorial University of Newfoundland** At other campuses, one or two courses may not be available to students other than through a partner university or university distance-learning courses. Students that attain all 16 prerequisite courses may then challenge the CMA Entrance Examination directly, while those without the full suite of prerequisites will need to enroll in the eight-month CMA Accelerated Program to fulfill the syllabus requirements. Next Steps: To determine your eligibility for Step Two, the CMA Entrance Exam, mail an official copy of your university transcripts to Carolyn Carter-Legacy for a free official evaluation. If your university education is from outside of Canada, additional materials are required. If you are applying to Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island, please forward an official or notarized translation of your transcript, along with course descriptions (in English) for those credits. If you are interested in applying to New Brunswick or Newfoundland, please have your credentials evaluated through ICES (International Credential Evaluation Services), and have ICES forward a copy directly to our office for consideration. The next registration deadline for the CMA Entrance Exam is September 12, 2008.
