University students in a business or commerce program can usually take all CMA prerequisites courses as part of their degree.

In Atlantic Canada, the full suite of 16 CMA prerequisite courses is available at the following universities:

• Memorial University of Newfoundland
• Mount Allison University
• Saint Mary’s University
• Université de Moncton
• University of New Brunwick: Saint John Campus

At other campuses, one or two courses may not be available to students other than through a partner university or university distance-learning courses.

Students that attain all 16 prerequisite courses may then challenge the CMA Entrance Examination directly, while those without the full suite of prerequisites will need to enroll in the eight-month CMA Accelerated Program to fulfill the syllabus requirements.

For the full list of the 16 prerequisites and their equivalents in Atlantic-region universities, please view the "Program Details by Province" section under Brochures, dates and prices.

Next Steps:

To determine your eligibility for Step Two, the CMA Entrance Exam, mail an official copy of your university transcripts to Carolyn Carter-Legacy for a free official evaluation.

If your university education is from outside of Canada, additional documents are required.  Please forward an official or notarized translation  of your transcript, along with course descriptions (in English or French) for those credits.

The next registration deadline for the CMA Entrance Exam is April 30, 2009.
