CMA Accelerated Program

Overview:

The CMA Accelerated Program enables candidates to proceed more quickly to the CMA Entrance Examination. The following CMA prerequisite topics are covered in one intensive eight-month program:

• Intermediate Management Accounting
• Intermediate Financial Accounting
• Advanced Management Accounting
• Advanced Financial Accounting
• Corporate Finance
• Operations Management
• Information Technology
• Strategic Management
• International Business
• Marketing
• Taxation
• Organizational Behaviour
• Internal Control

The topics are covered in 22 lessons plus four tests over an eight-month period. The program is offered by full-day Saturday lectures or by distance-learning DVDs.

To be eligible for the Accelerated Program, candidates must:

• Have a university degree
• Have a minimum grade of 60% in the following four courses::

• Introductory Management Accounting
• Introductory Financial Accounting
• Economics
• Statistics

If you are missing any of the four pre-requisites to qualify the Accelerated Program, you may take these courses through your local university. Please view our Program Details for a list of equivalent courses at qualifying institutions in New Brunswick. Alternately, you may wish to enroll in Introductory Financial Accounting and/or Introductory Management Accounting which are offered online through CMA Ontario. Next Steps:

To determine your eligibility for the CMA Accelerated Program, complete the Transcript Evaluation Request Form, enclose a copy of your university transcripts, and forward the documents to Carolyn Carter-Legacy for a free evaluation.
